What Guests Are Saying
Susquehannock is a beautiful campground with well-maintained sites and stunning views of the lake and mountains, making it a favorite for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors appreciate the proximity to biking trails, water activities, and the friendly rangers. However, there are concerns about the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which detracts from the overall experience for some campers.

Spacious site and just about as close as you can be to the mountain bike trails. Decent shade coverage.

It actually wasn't at all pleasant, we made the best of it though. When we got to our site we realized that right near our fire pit was a tree with a european hornets nest in it, so I drove out to the check in desk and mentioned it to them they had said that it was already reported. Hum... maybe that should have been something mentioned us before me and my 3 children set up our tents and decided to stay because the first night we all were tired and went to bed early from the hectic day of packing unpacking and setting up. the next day we just pretty much avoided them and hung out at the river couldn't even enjoy our site just figured if we stay away from then the will do the same. Well guess what. Not 20 minutes after we had the lantern on because it was to dark to see to sit at the picnic table and play our cards after the sun went down, THE BEES STARTED ATTACKING US. apparently they are attracted to lights at night. So not only did we have to walk on egg shells duringthe day avoidingthem during the day but we couldn't even have the lights on at night to see. You guys might want to take care of that situation before someone seriously ends up dead! It's been reported twice. And we were not even informed of them when we checked in which is beyond unbelievable to me, especially since it had already been reported.

We love staying here! Our site was not on the water but within walking distance for fishing, swimming and kayaking. The weekdays are our favorite time to camp there. The lake isn't as stirred up or full of wakes from the boats so its the perfect time for swimming. Its all around just quieter during the week. We did stay Friday night and while all the neighbor campers were very nice people it was bright from canopy lights above us and noisy below us with a site that was playing music and talking loudly till well after 11. Next summer we will just plan to make our stay through the week and not a weekend. My only real complaint was the restroom/outhouse being full of flies. Surely there has to be a solution for this. Otherwise great place to stay!

new campsites, 62-65 are a great addition, as well as other sites that have been upgraded. We had a yellow jacket nest by one tent, and we had prompt help to get it sprayed. Thank you.

While the campsite was very pretty on the water, you could easily smell the nearby vault toilets from the campsite. There was improper disposal of trash throughout the campground and campsites were pretty close together.

Very nice and clean grounds. The lake is a beautiful Emerald green and very clear. Easy back in or pull through sites with near to level gradient. Some sites are a tad tricky to back in to. But experienced or talented greenhorns should have no problem. Nice hiking trails too. Good family campground, Will stay again.

I love this campground. Perfect for kayaks, canoes and boats. BUT bring a roll of your own toilet paper they often run out in the stinky outhouses.
