All the camp sites are beautiful. We stayed right on the lake with full hook up. Boat ramp was we kept trailer parking availability was great. Moored our boat on the well maintained dock. Everyone was we met was nice, other campers were peaceful. I loved waking up every morning to a lake view.

This is a beautiful campground. The only concerns we had were the maintenance and cleanliness of the campground. Bathrooms had a sign that stated "cleaned periodically" or something to that effect. Not a bad idea, except, the bathroom was filthy with no hand soap. Only other concern was that it appeared that it hadn't been mowed in a while. This may be because of the dry weather. We were just concerned about hidden roots, stones and snakes while walking around our campsite. We do plan on being back.

Our friends have been here numerous times and raved about the park. Our site was Knoll 07 and I vowed I would never come back. This site is TERRIBLE! The stairs of our camper came out to tree roots imbedded in the side of the hill that we were nestled in between. We had barely enough room to walk next to the camper. Each time I emerged from the camper I was afraid I was going to re-injure my knee that had recently healed. Luckily we were able to switch to Knoll 15 after 2 days but had to cut our stay unless we wanted to move again. The bathrooms were NOT cleaned daily. I understand cutting costs but when you and Hosts are unable to access internet to change reservations, it makes it very frustrating. The Hosts should at least have access to the entry with internet availability to assist you if needed. Most of our camping has been at NYS parks where the facilities are cleaned twice daily. The fees are the same for full hookups so even though after changing our site and scouting out other sites, I might consider returning. But you should seriously have Knoll 07 (and08) looked into and either label them for a camper under 25’ or dig out the hill area surrounding it to make it more accessible before someone injures themselves.

We have always lived staying at Cowanesque Lake.. this year we had problems with our RV and were unable to contact anyone to cancel or modify our reservation… no answer at the campground, no answer at Recreation.gov 800 # and unable to modify on the website.. we did visit the campsite one day.. the bath houses were filthy and there was NO One at the gate/welcome gatehouse. It is so sad to see this beautiful campground in such a terrible state…

We had a 1wk stay at a very nice site just as you enter the Cove camp area. Many nice areas to take walks. Swimming area was quiet with just a few people, although very shallow. Ample garbage/recycle bins. Love the landing area where you can have your RV steps away from your boat. Biggest & only complaint was the shower & toilet areas for women were absolutely deplorable! It didn’t matter what time of day. Talked to several hosts but the uncleanliness was never addressed on our week stay. Don’t miss “Annie’s Market” in Laweranceville. Has great food & good selection & a very nice owner & employees.

The park is great—quiet and well maintained. Our particular site was a narrow fit for the camper (#7), but the area behind it was flat and a nicer area to gather.
