Beautiful place. Very clean and well maintained. It would be perfect if they had cell signal.

Even though the site was narrow we had a huge picnic area in the back on knoll and plenty of privacy. So easy to get into the site. We weren't looking for things to do we were looking for r and r. Perfect for that.

Well this was our first visit to Tompkins campground. It was a wonderful experience. We chose a walk in site to camp at with a tent. I'll tell you that you will want a wagon or something to carry your camping gear to the sites. It took me 3 trips to get everything we needed to the site, probably a 10 minute walk with your gear each time. Some are close by, but I chose the farthest one away. Which happened to be one of the largest single tent sites and far enough away from the other sites that you could not see each other without walking back to the trail. We had plenty of room to layout or camping gear and setup everything we needed. We were also right on the edge of the water so that we could fish without going out on a boat. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We plan on returning to this site again next year. Plenty of shade and my dog enjoyed the area as well. I recommend these walk in sites for anyone who wants to have a real camping experience without numerous campers around you. For us, this was more enjoyable and relaxing. There are some hiking trails at the opposite end of the campgrounds. We drove back to the campground and parked near the trail head to hike.

We arrived on a Monday, and had much of the campground to ourselves for the week! We had a wonderful, shady spot, but drainage was bad at our site, and it remained wet throughout our time there, even though it did not rain. We had the lake to ourselves each day, and deeply enjoyed sitting in the lake on our beach chairs catching sun! We had peace and quiet, great walks and enjoyed conversation with other campers as they walked by. Beautiful weather, beautiful site, beautiful scenery! LOVED IT!

IT is a very quiet, scenic, friendly campground. i would llike to see more activities, but there are still plenty of things to do there. We go several times per summer and will continue to do so. I would like to see a better way to reserve lakeside sites, because most of us can never get one, but we always try!

When we arrived, we discovered our campsite was not shaded as we had preferred. Campground personnel were very accommodating in helping us relocate to a better site.

Great camping location right on lakeside with full hookups! The COE was well maintained with pleasant staff. The park includes a boat launch for fishermen or kayaking. Highly recommend this location for camping.

Nice campground, not as private as we like...but nice. We had to be right by the lake in order to get cell service.
