Tompkins Campground offers spacious, clean sites with friendly staff, making it a favorite for families and returning visitors. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake for paddling, and well-maintained bathrooms contribute to a positive experience. While some areas could benefit from upgrades, many campers appreciate the reasonable prices and the campground's recent extension into the fall season.

I've been camping at this park on my trips from Arizona to Vermont and back for around 15 years. It's a peaceful first stop on my way back from Vermont. it's always been a favorite since it is situated so nicely above the lake, it's quiet, and it's often not very full. I loved being greeted and helped by the nice woman at the entry kiosk. I was very frustrated by the new online only registration process, I wasn't expecting it as you had always been so available and friendly there. I was already down at my campsite when I found out I had to do it that way. I had to go down by the lake to get cell service. I tried the phone # but it had a long wait, I tried the website but needed the correct password, I had to go back up to the camper for that. It was nearly an hour before I finally got settled into camp.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Bathrooms were clean and our site was well maintained. We visit the lake often but haven’t camped before and we were very pleased to finally give it a go. We will definitely be back!

Spacious wooded campsites near a beautiful lake. The host was very helpful. Cell coverage was poor with Verizon so it helps to have a reservation before arrival.
Nice bathroom facilities.

Was so happy this campground opened after initially stating they would be closed for the season. One of our favorites. Wishing they would state open later every season as they did this year.
