We had a great camping experience. A few flies but that is to be expected in the summer.

Tompkins Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly hosts and beautiful views of the lake, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and excellent recreational activities like swimming and fishing. While some noted issues with cell service, shower facilities, and sewage odors, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The lakefront sites are exquisite and the majority of the other sites (other than the Meadow Loop) are deep, private and shaded. The full hookups make the RV experience amazing. Terrific place to camp.

We loved Tompkins...everything about our stay was fantastic! Our only complaint was the directions! First it sent us to the COE just south of Tompkins. Then the address they gave us sent us to the center of 'town'...there was a village park at that location! We stopped again and that gentleman gave us accurate directions. Sites are spacious and angled so that each one had a view of the reservoir. Camp volunteers were kind, friendly and helpful. Bathrooms seemed adequate, not fancy but definitely adequate. Loved how quiet and peaceful it was.

Went to the hike in with a buddy. We had a great time, i definitely recomend a boat to take in supplies as its a bit of a hike if your staying for more than a day or two and like to be prepared. I would definitely recomend.

We love it here. It's quiet and peaceful at night. Kids can ride bikes all throughout, swim, fish and sit in front of the fire. We had many animals this trip, even had a 🐻

Sites were pretty level, but electric and water hookup was a distance away. The description of the Sites were accurate so if it says the hookup is 50 ft from center, believe it. I'm glad I read it, we were prepared!
