Tompkins Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly hosts and beautiful views of the lake, making it a popular choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and excellent recreational activities like swimming and fishing. While some noted issues with cell service, shower facilities, and sewage odors, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

This is truly our favorite place to camp. We came with 2 other couples and it was their first time camping at Tompkins. They fell in love with it, just as we did,
The volunteer camp hosts and maintenance workers are amazing. They are such hard workers and the campground is beautiful because of their efforts.
We love that there are things to do in Mansfield and Wellsboro, and in a pinch the stores in Lawrenceville have a lot to offer.

The Ranger was very nice as well as the camp hosts. Shower rooms were clean but needed maintenance. The reservation app needs work as it approved a site change that didn't show up in the system. Some sites need modified to prevent filling up with mud after a hard rain. Site sizes need to be more accurate.

Very nice campground with lots of shade. Friendly staff who maintains the park very well. Restrooms were always clean, although dated. Grounds were always mowed and clean of debris. Great experience.

Beautiful property, a PA crown jewel. Wish more could be done to get the trash and tires out of the lake especially where the driftwood accumulates. We enjoy camping here as often as we can.

Overall it is a very nice campground the sites could be a little wider but they are paved and probably 95% are full hookups. I noticed that some people say you have to travel to get groceries and supplies but there is a store about three miles away that sells everything you could want. Like I said overall pretty good.

I've been camping at this campground for close to 10 years. The place was always very clean and well taken care of. They were very strict about people parking on the grass or putting stuff in trees.
This year it seems like the workers don't seem to care about the facility. A site I was on earlier this year had cigarette butts all over in the stones from a previous camper. The grass hasn't been mowed any of the 5 times I've been there this year. Visitors are parking completely in the grass in front of campers and nothing is ever said. It truly is a shame to see such a nice campground slip away so badly since COVID!
