The campsite itself was great - super cute, very very clean. We had direct access to the playground which the kids loved and the view of the sunset over the lake from our campfire was awesome. Camp host was sooo sweet and kind. Enjoyed meeting her. Campground is a 5 star. The challenge is the lake itself. Perhaps better for motorcraft, but we brought kayaks and fishing poles and we’re on or close to shore. The shoreline of the lake is very dirty! Tons of trash, both fishing junk like lines and food containers, but also cigarettes, signs of drug use and the signs of drugs being made.
This place has all the potential to be Amazing, but the Park System needs to get the day use under control before I would come back.

Campsites and bathhouse are kept clean. Campsites are well looked after and maintained. There is a lot of greenery between sites, which gives the a feeling of extra privacy for your group.

Small campground. Well-maintained. Our campsite was right across from the bath/shower and didn't realize how close it was... VERY bright light on all night and a lot of foot traffic. Not terrible - just something to be aware of if you pick sites 12-13. There is NOT a manned entrance station so we were glad we had a printed copy of your reservation in the event there was an issue. The camp host was very nice and she came around routinely so the manned station thing might not be much of an issue anyway.

Clean sites, bathrooms were what you would expect for a camping experience. Would have liked a set area designated for swimming for kids instead of a mixed fishing/swimming area.

This place is a must if you want to get out and enjoy the outdoors with some outdoors water fun with family and/or friends. The staff is very friendly, as soon as we got in to our camp site we were greeted by a host. Park rangers and the host drive around the camp site every couple hours to make sure everything is good. There is a huge lake in front of the campsite were you can bring your kayaks, boats or just dive in to swim. Pets are also welcome. I highly recommend this place.
