What Guests Are Saying
Ives Run is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious sites, friendly staff, and a scenic location near Hammond Lake. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, the peaceful atmosphere, and the variety of outdoor activities available, such as fishing, hiking, and biking. Some minor issues were noted, including inconveniences with sewer hookups and limited availability for late-season bookings, but overall, campers had a great experience and expressed a strong desire to return.

Great time with the great grandchildren. Fishing, swimming, playing on the playground. Rosies Restaurant in Tioga is close if you're looking for place to eat out. Very good food, service and reasonable prices.

This was my 1st interaction with the National Parks Recreation System and Website. Although I am not very computer savvy, I was able to use RECREATION.GOV with only moderate difficulty to find information about the facility and campsites, and then to complete my reservations. The rules for the campground made sense to me, were pretty easy to follow, and in hard-copy if you so desired. We had a group of 7 campers coming from different locations in NY and Maryland. We reserved 3 campsites for the group with 3 members of the group sharing the reservations. The confirmation follow-up from the Park System was very good for each reservation, including the follow-up notices as our arrival date approached. The Ives Run Facility was clean and in good condition. We did tent camping in the Pine Camp (Overflow) Section, which is about a mile away from the the main full-hook-up camping and recreational facilities. The Pine Camp Section had a nice, clean, and adequately supplied compost toilet house; as well as 2 chemical toilets that were situated apart from, but close to, the compost toilet. Each campsite in this section had good access and parking with a flat crushed-stone pad for an RV or a Camper. This section is somewhat hilly, so it was hard to find real flat spots for 10'x10' and 12'x12' tents. We managed OK, but it was good that we had 3 sites. During our stay we toured this Section and identified some different campsites that would be more suitable for our group in future trips. We liked the entire Campground. We were located on the shore of Hammond Lake. It was very Scenic and in pleasant natural surroundings. We enjoyed our short stay there. Next time we'll bring some boats, stay longer, and go fishing.

Beautiful area we will do it again. A lot of nice scenery and the other campers were friendly. The only thing that went wrong was our water faucet froze one night but thats what happends when its cold. We fixed the problem and had a great time the rest of the time. Thank you.

The Rangers, workers, and camp hosts are all very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. This is one of the nicest campgrounds in this area and probably in the state of PA.

Beautiful and well-kept park - perfect for our overnight stay as it was just off the highway. Nice biking trails and view of the lake!

This is by far our favorite campground. It is so peaceful. The campground is very well kept and the sites are so spacious. We often ride the rail trail, hike and enjoy nature in the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Wellsboro has some quaint shops and nice restaurants as well.
