What Guests Are Saying
Outflow Recreation Area offers a peaceful camping experience with well-maintained sites and beautiful scenery, making it a popular choice for many visitors. While some campers reported issues with noisy generators and confrontational campground hosts, the overall atmosphere is welcoming and conducive to relaxation. Many appreciate the convenient same-day booking option and the clean facilities, though improvements to bathrooms and road conditions are recommended.

Campsites very clean. The camp hosts did a nice job with that, and greeting me on arrival. Quiet hours were respected by campers. The restrooms/showers could use an upgrade.

What a wonderful spot. Full hookup pull-through next to the Allegheny River. Hubby went fishing a few times, we drove to Pittsburgh for 4th of July and then another day to Canton, OH for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Up to Tidioute and Warren for genealogy search. Cute market in town, Walmart about 30 minutes away. Just a good spot for what we were doing.

No ranger or official on site. Cars in and out of campground in the night. You were searching for 2 boys from Detention center, but I just heard ans saw cars all night. Creepy. I don't know if I want to return there.... summer or fall due to poor staffing.
Also, people put large, even huge trash bags in the campground dumpsters... they are using them without camping. I make puny trash.

Camp site and area was clean and well maintained. We were the only ones there so it was quiet.

Was very disappointed we had to leave a day early because someone complained about our generator running. And the campground allows generators being there is no electric hookup. Paid for three days and stayed for 2. We was not staying there another day it was so hot and couldn’t run our air conditioner because someone had to complain about our generator.

The only negative during our stay is the electric that they are working on putting it was not connected yet. They were hoping to have it connected by end of July but as of end of August it's still not connected. Hoping they have it completed by next year and if so will definitely plan a visit there again next year. Overall very nice job by the guys in making the new sites.
