We have been going to Tionesta Rec. Area Campground since 2013 and I will have to say that this is the first time in a long time that the restrooms were kept very clean, there were lots of park rangers around and the park was cleaned up. The only recommendation that I would have is to move the fire rings back a little so that they are not so close to the awnings of the camper. As far as activities goes it would be great to have a bingo night, maybe now and then have a singer or small band come play music. It would be great for the kids to have a sand sculpture contest and we have been to parks that host a hayride that circles the campground. All in all though we saw a lot of improvements this year and we really appreciate them.

Not as nice as the other army corps campgrounds in Pa. But I still liked my experience there . I will go back.

Had a wonderful week! Very quiet campground, level site with friendly staff and guests. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table that was large enough for outdoor dining. Dog friendly and plenty of areas to walk and exercise your pet (doggy poo bags were provided in 2 areas in case you forgot bags). Walked the Dam site, Plantation and Summit Trails several times - (easy to low-moderate hiking) - saw wildlife and beautiful scenery ; would advise to wear hiking boots - there are some soggy or loose gravel areas. Back in sites are easy to maneuver into , even with our 44 ft. 5th wheel. Several areas of interest around the Tionesta area ( liked the Peace Park ) for outdoor fun. Park Rangers made frequent drive-thrus during each day, and saw Fish & Game a few times as well. Would return again.

Water faucet at site had worn out threads and I had rig to get water. Toilet in camp ground bathroom was leaking and wetting floor in both stalls.

Nice campground, helpful hosts, lots of hiking trails, good fishing. If it weren't for the neighbors who came in beside me for 2 weekend nights and thought the only way to talk was vulgar language as loud as they could be it would have been perfect
