We just love Tionesta! It is our favorite campground! Although hosts/hostesses were few and far between, when they were there, they were extremely friendly and helpful. The rangers made up for their absence with their concern and advice.
Please open earlier and stay open later!

The best camp ground we have been to yet! The CoE does a wonderful job with upkeep! So much fun loved the playgrounds!

the campground.

- Reservations are required before camping.
- Changes to campsite reservations must be made by calling Recreation.gov.
- Contact the Tionesta Lake office for inquiries.
- Contact the Tionesta Recreation Area for inquiries.
Vehicles & parking
- Parking on the grass is not allowed.
- A maximum of two vehicles are allowed per campsite.
Safety & rules
- Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on site.
- Children under 13 must wear a personal flotation device on boats, and all boaters on smaller vessels must wear one too.
Site capacity
- Campsites allow either 1 wheeled camper and 1 tent, or 2 tents.
- Camping longer than 14 days at a water resource project requires written permission.
Accessibility
- Sites 69 and 71 are designated for accessible camping with required passes.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on site.
