Overall Tionesta is a very nice campground. However, until you get there and see the actual sites, it is difficult to pick the correct site. We were in Loop 3, site 045, which was very difficult to back our camper in. There were trees on both sides so we had to position our camper just right so we could open the slide and the awning. We will go back but now we have site numbers written down to reserve!

We love this campground. It is easily accessible and there really isn't a bad site on the grounds. It is well cared for and has every facility we need.

Didnβt know the entire campground was dog approved. While it was refreshing to see owners picking up after their animals, it was concerning to see several without leashes.
At one point a dog ran through our site to get to its own. The children were in tow with the leash in hand (not on the dog). I do not own a dog. It was not relaxing listening to half the park echoing in barking of territorial dogs into the night. The grounds were clean and accommodating, but we will not stay overnight again. Please consider dog free loops.

We did not see that this campground is all full hook up which was a great surprise!! My only complaint is the we were in site 13 and the Gaga ball pit was right behind us with what sounded like 30 annoying kids screaming, at dark. We have kids and would not let them scream that loud that late in to the evening, it was even at 8am and woke our kids up. Itβs not the campgrounds fault. The host was beside us and they were friendly folks. Would go back again, but stay at the far east end near the dam. Sites 118 and surrounding would be great for several people camping together. L&B Chocolate Company in town is awesome.
