We love Tionesta Campground. It’s a paved campground, great for bike riding. It’s nice that they are open after Labor Day. Fall camping is great.

We go to Tionesta REC area every year. This year the grass needed cut, trees need trimmed in many sites and sites can be very unlevel

A little disappointed compared to the other federal campsites we visited . The water valve at the site had missing and stripped threads so the connection sprayed water all over. It had been like this for a while as there was black electrical tape wrapped around what was left of the threads. Fortunately a call to the office brought the rangers promptly to our site and they were able to thread on a new backflow fitting so we could make it through our stay. However the water had a lot of brown sediment and trashed our filter and screens as well as staining our hose and fixtures. I was able to clean everything with a fair amount of elbow grease and had to flush the entire system when we arrived at our next destination. Could have been just a one time thing so I would give the park another chance in the future. Got the feeling that budget cuts are hurting the facility. I do have to say the staff we interacted with were courteous and professional.
