Very quiet, laidback. Unless you have a boat not much to do. Relax, walk.

Larger sites with plenty of "privacy" in surrounding trees. No water, no sewer, 30 amp power (in site 15). Some effort to level but not bad. Too narrow for a Class A motorhome in my opinion, better for shorter/smaller truck & trailer RVs. Entry road up to sites is rough, as previous reviewers suggested, but I didn't bottom out etc. No check-in personnel or procedure. Just go straight to your site per your reservation. I didn't see a Ranger or attendant in the 3 days I was there. Lake is beautiful. 12 miles to St Marys PA. and the PA BDR-X for Adventure Motorcycle riders. I will definitely go back again.

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing campground in the Pennsylvania Wilds, East Branch COE Campground is an absolute hidden gem. Tucked away in the beautiful forest of Northwestern Pennsylvania, this campground offers the perfect escape from crowds while still providing everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The campground is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The campsites have fire rings, picnic tables, lantern hangers and are wooded. The loop road is a bit narrow, hilly and tight, not advisable for larger rigs over 25-30 ft. They do have a few pull-through sites. Most sites have 20/30/50 amp pedestals. Water spigots are located around the loop, but not at each individual campsite.

Whether you're bringing a smaller RV, pitching a tent, or staying in one of the cozy cabins, you'll appreciate how peaceful and serene the setting is.

One of my favorite perks is that they provide free firewood for campers, which is becoming harder and harder to find these days. There's also a convenient dump station, clean restrooms with hot showers, and a playground where kids can burn off some energy.

Families will especially enjoy the picnic area and pavilion, along with the visitor center and interpretive center. It may be small but it's packed with interesting exhibits about the area, local wildlife, and fun hands-on activities that keep kids engaged while teaching them about nature.

If you enjoy fishing or boating, you're in for a treat. East Branch Clarion River Lake is known for its exceptionally clear water and outstanding fishing. Anglers regularly hook walleye, lake trout, muskellunge, and panfish, while the lake's unlimited horsepower boating makes it a great destination for everything from fishing boats to pontoons and watersports. Kayaking is a favorite with campers and visitors.

Nature lovers will appreciate the surrounding hiking trails, scenic overlooks, abundant wildlife, and the peaceful atmosphere that makes this area so special. Cell service can be limited, but honestly, that's part of the charm. It's a place to unplug, slow down, and enjoy the outdoors.

If you're looking for a campground that's clean, quiet, family-friendly, affordable, and surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Pennsylvania, East Branch COE Campground deserves a spot on your camping list. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This trip was planed and prepped for, for some time, it was me and my two adult sons, my oldest son got the site across the road from me, I had the camper and he had his 25' pontoon boat. We drove 2 hour's, and reserved two camp sites, the camp sites were beautiful, well worth the drive, but and here is the but I wish we would have known that there was no potable water, I did not notice the sign before filling my camper water tank. Now I have that problem. We had some bottled water, but could have used more.
I do know what is wrong with the water. Not something easily fixed, and probably will remain this way for the foreseeable future. Something that would be helpful is if there could be a water buffalo with potable water available for people to fill their camper tanks, or water jugs, or at least bottled water available for sale.
It would help to recommend on the web site fill your camper before before coming, or stalking up on bottled water.

I enjoy fishing and camping at East Branch every year . My only concern is that the road around the campground does need some attention especially on the hill going in. Overall everything looks great

So, I haven’t been to the East Branch Lakec since before the draw down to repair the dam. I was not prepared for the amount of trees that grew up while the lake was drawn down. Totally ruined the ascetics of the lake. Everything else was great. The cabin was basic but as advertised.

Camped here for the 4th of July. Beautiful campground, nice sites and peaceful atmosphere. Have family that reside on swamp creek rd. Enjoyed their party and was nice to come back to my own little R-Pod home close by. Amazing rates and check out isn’t until 3pm so you don’t feel rushed
