We absolutely love Hawe Creek!! We were in site 29 this time. It was a wonderful, level, shaded spot. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that Hawe Creek is not open year round.

Clean well kept bathhouses. The camp host was very friendly. Older campground with modern updates. Some sites are 30 amp and some are 50 amp. No playground or formal swimming area, for me that's a plus as it tends to be a quieter campground. Verizon service is spotty at best, AT&T is fair to good. Some site have steep access to the water and the water gets deep quickly. Some overgrowth of underbrush, but less than last year and not an issue for us. The volunteers that manage/maintain this site do a great job.

We haven’t camped in a few years so we went to a campground that we knew. We were very pleased to see the campground in better shape than the last time we were there. Walter,Patrick and their wives are fantastic. There was someone checking with us a few times a day to make sure everything was ok. The bath house was very clean with plenty of hot water. The site was clean and ready for us even though we arrived early. The only thing that could be better is if the campground stayed open year round. I would love to be able to come here in the fall and winter, it is such a nice and well maintained campground.

Site was an easy back in and level with plenty of room from neighbors as far as developed campgrounds go. Would have to boondock to get more private. Lake view was amazing and was able to easily access the boat from the campsite. Did not use any facilities except boat ramp which was close by. Dump station was clean, in good repair, and easy to access. Campground is in the middle of some of the most prime fishing spots on the lake enabling us to catch crappie, small strippers, and bass within site of the campsite. I’m sure catfish and brim were present had we tried for those. Only wish is that the facility would at least extend opening/closing day by a month on each end of the season or even better, stay open year round. Campground Host and staff checked on everyone regularly and was very friendly.
