I was presently surprised at the large size and privacy of a large number of sites here. his was a solo scouting trip with the pop-up but I'll return in the spring with my 5th wheel and wife.
Another observation...I camp at the GA State Parks often and sometimes lose my perspective of just how nice they are compared to surrounding states. I scouted two SC state parks in the area when there and of over a hundred sites, I have 3 on my list as acceptable. The COE sites are far above the state parks there...

The camp ground was very clean and quiet. Camp host were super friendly. The only thing i didn’t like was the 20+ foot decline to the water the a sudden drop off so we couldn’t fish at our camp site, we had to go to the dock or marina to fish. Definitely not kid friendly, but great for going to relax and have quiet time away from the day to day.
Campsite was set up with a grill, fire pit and a picnic table. Well maintained and super level. Overall, I would say it was a good weekend away.

Camp hosts are the best! They maintain the area and ensure all is good. This is a peaceful, relaxing environment. Love it and just the nature and beauty of God’s creation. I just would remind other campers to remember to leave nature in the same way they found. Clean up food and trash. It makes each campers experience nice. Please remember to pick / scoop your dog poop up. Yes that is a nature for an animal but for your pet scoop/ dispose properly.

Spacious sites and pretty private, great view of the lake and wide open area to the lake since it was down fishing wasn't the best at the time we went but that's always a hit or miss. Bathrooms were clean as well as the whole campground itself and the host was very friendly and out checking everything multiple times a day and almost always asked if we were good or how we were doing. Will definitely be back!!
