This is a wonderful cabin! Folks who have booked this in earlier years maybe should note that some practices have changed....I think wood is no longer being supplied, but it wasn’t a big deal. We heard more coyotes than past years. There is a wonderful new stove! Thank you Black Hills Forest Rangers!

If I were in the area again and needed a place to stay, I wouldn't hesitate to book again. I would not travel here just to stay at the cabin however. There is no access to the watchtower which was unfortunate. Elk, mule deer and turkey were all easily found in the area. There were no mattresses on any of the beds.

Excellent place to stay. Solar lighting in cabin, stove and oven that works with normal gas grill propane tank ( bring with you). To come and go reguires several miles of some bumpy gravel roads but that's what makes it nice and isolated and they're not that bad. Lots of space in cabin,2 full sized beds and 2 bunks, full size bottoms twin on top. Bring mattresses. An outstanding place to me. Cudos to the the forest service. Thanks for making places like this available to us!!
