Very nice and private campground. Usually pretty quiet except for generators running from time to time.

It was an absolute and perfect camping trip. The sites are so well maintained and so nice to have all that space. The tourists were gone (we are local). The weather was epic and the camp ground host was the BEST ever. We learned so much about the campground that we have been going to for years, especially when our kids were little. She was so knowledgeable and helpful.
With all the rain this past summer here, the scenery, grounds, lake, trails, wildlife were so plentiful. I have never gotten better photos of very unusual and beautiful plants and all God's creation up there. I hope and pray you don't plan to "modernize" this wonderful place. We go there to truly CAMP not glamp! and enjoy the beautiful Black Hills that is in our backyard, but quickly becoming way too commercialized and hard to find a pristine and untouched paradise like the forest up there. It's quite a precious refuge - away from the noise and hustle and bustle of life.

Love camping in the Black Hills. I usually split my time between hiking and fishing. The campsites at Dutchman are scenic and well kept. Always a much needed and relaxing time spent there.

Good hiking, pretty spot. Would have given 5 stars but for the fact that there are not enough bathrooms for such a big place.

Campground host was very friendly and helpful with information on reserving sites in the future. Was disapointed in not being able to catch very many trout in Deerfield reservoir this year as we have in the past. First year in several years of camping at Dutchman that it rained more than in past visits. Only downside was the overfilled trash container at our location lasting from the Sunday we checked in until the following Saturday when it was normally scheduled to be empted.

Great spot between both east and west entrance. Great mountain view and hosts! A little road and train noises. Would stay again if in the area.

I had an enjoyable time. It's situated far enough away very peaceful evenings and nights , but close enough to get to all the sites and activities in the Black Hills.

Itβs a beautiful location, the campsites are nice sized and just far enough apart. However; it would be nice to have an electrical hook-up or water hook-up.
