The website is unclear. The outhouse was half a campground away.

Very Good — 4 out of 5 stars

Nice campground, we like it and will camp there again many times. The quality of the sites varies a lot, so it’s worth doing some homework before you book. I don’t know what their budget looks like, but with a loader, some diesel, and a few days, you could make big improvements. They’ve clearly lost a lot of trees, so I’m guessing their focus is on recovery right now.

It’s quiet, pretty, and natural — exactly the kind of place we like to spend time. Fishing on Deerfield was OK; we probably could’ve done better if we knew the lake.

5

Great campground that is away from the hustle and bustle of Keystone and Hill City. Sites were spaced far enough apart that we weren't really bothered by the other campers. Bathrooms were clean, host was great, fishing in the reservoir was even better! My only "complaint" is how far out tent site was from the bathrooms, but that was on me and not the campground. We just scoped it out and know which ones to pick for next time!

This is our second year in a row at the Dutchman, and we hope to come back every year! I love being here, it is so quiet, the views are beautiful, and the campsites/bathrooms are very well kept.
