This was a nice and well maintained site that wasn’t too crowded, even on a Friday. The nearby lake was nice for paddling and swimming on a warm summer day. Keep in mind that it is a fair distance away from the main black hills destinations.

The campground host was amazingly friendly and helpful. She provided me with maps for the ORV and forest service trails after I mentioned I didn't have a plan. The campground was also well kept, and stayed pretty quiet.

Nice quiet campground. Lot to do in the area, fish/kayak Deerfield Reservoir, hike local trail and bike Mickleson Trail. Conveniently located on may way back home to Illinois from Yellowstone/Bighorn Mountains. Clean bathrooms, nice camp hosts!
