Nice forested campground. Large open sites, some with lake views. Took our kayaks out on the lake and had a wonderful time. The 16-mile gravel road to the campground is very dusty and bumpy. Need to go slow.

Campsite was the same as last year-very nice. Many larger trees had blown over due to high winds but was totally removed by the time I arrived. Experience would have been much better if not for the burn ban for the entire Black Hills. Only depressing part was tons of pine cones on the ground (most I have seen in over 5 years my family have been gathering at these sites to camp) and couldn't use any of them for fire starting!
The new management company seems to be nickel and diming us campers unnecessarily. Older company was for the public using their campgrounds and not trying to make an extra dollar or five!!

The camp host was so friendly and helpful. The outdoor restroom was very clean. I do love the restroom near the boat ramp.

we enjoyed the hike on trail 40 right off the second loop of Dutchman campground that led to Deerfield dam. The hosts were friendly. The bathrooms were cleaned.
