What Guests Are Saying
Pactola Reservoir Campground offers beautiful, clean campsites with spacious pads suitable for larger RVs and tents, and close proximity to the scenic Pactola Lake. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience, while the campground provides excellent access to outdoor activities like fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Some minor downsides include uneven site entrances and occasional noise from generators, but the serene environment and stunning views make it a popular choice for campers.

Gorgeous campground. Site had beautiful view. Check in went smoothly and felt safe amidst the pandemic. Sites did not have much privacy between them. Osprey trail nearby was a wonderful morning hike.

The Camp host were aboveaverage. We have been camping at Pactola since 2004, these are the best host you have ever had. I do miss the nicer restrooms that were in loop "B". Also the road in loop "B" needs to be repaired. Overall a great stay.

This was likely the most beautiful campground we’ve ever stayed in. I was a bit abrasive about staying here with no hookups, but my husband and I agreed that we liked it better. It felt more like camping.

We had a wonderful stay this year and appreciated all of the Covid-19 precautions which were taken. We have stayed in the past and also had a good experience. The camp host and staff were kind and helpful!!!

Campsites way to close together! Our fire pit was approximately 15' from our neighbors. Wow!

The sites in loop C are terrible. Who wants to sleep in a parking lot when your in the black hills... we checked in and then left and went to Horsetheif lake.
