Roubaix Lake offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, friendly hosts, and spacious sites amidst lovely trees and trails. Many visitors appreciate the tranquility and scenic views, particularly enjoying the nearby lake and wildlife. While there are some concerns regarding the cleanliness of bathrooms and the need for maintenance on picnic tables, the overall atmosphere and helpful camp hosts make it a favorite destination for many campers.

We truly enjoyed our camping experience at Roubaix Lake. The campground is peaceful and far enough off the road that you don't hear much traffic and the campsites are far enough apart that they are private. We stayed in the B loop which seemed to be the least busy and crowded of all of the loops. There were plenty of places to set up a tent at campsite 18 and we liked how our fire pit had two separate sections with their own handle, allowing us to cook on half of it and still feed the fire with new wood. I would recommend a sleep pad for this campground as there are lots of small rocks and pine cones. We were a little nervous as the forecasted high temperatures that day were in the high 90s. However, the location of the campsite was well shaded and the campground quickly cooled in the evening, making cooking over a fire even possible. We even ended up sleeping inside of our sleeping bags that night! There are easy access trails to the lake and it is a beautiful area. Our only complaint was the amount of flies that were in the vault toilet enclosure, but otherwise they were clean. Would definitely come back.

We were not able to purchase wood as no one was there each day we went to purchase. The bathroom had lots of flies in it.
