Groups of ATV's and Side by Side constantly drive through the camping area making it very unsafe for the children. The camp host is powerless to say or do anything. They are mocked and pretty much told to go to hell. The ATV trail next to the camp is so dusty from the high speed ATV's. Maybe a little patrolling by the forest service and some Magnesium chloride on the trails especially close to the camp would help a little.

This little lake is perfect and so is the campground! Great for camping, fishing, hiking, crawdad catching, and paddleboarding! There really is something for everyone!

There were an extremely large amount of bugs! We chose to move to another campground.
For perspective, we camped at Bismarck Lake, Stockton North, Keyhole and Roubaix.

We stayed in loop B. The all the campsites in loop b were well spaces and good access to bathrooms and water. No thought traffic on loop b so very few cars drove by.
Lake was a 2-3 minute walk away along a trail.
Campground host were super helpful and friendly. Came around at supper time to check people in and had firewood for sale in back of truck.
Generators were supposed to be turned off at 10 pm, but one RV ran theirs all night both nights we were there.

Nice place. Wonderful campground hosts. If you're from out of state as I was, be alert that thunderstorms and lightning can hit the Black Hills in late May and early June.

Located on the north side of Roubaix Lake. From Rapid City, South Dakota, take Highway 385 north, then take Forest Road 255 to the campground.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site types & loops
- Generators are allowed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at non-electric campsites.
Fees & deposits
- A fee of $2 per pet per night is charged at check-in.
- Senior and Access discounts apply only to the site of the card holder; additional fees may apply for other sites reserved on the same card.
