This was our second stay in 3 years at the same camp site. Aside from zero shade and windy conditions, the site was clean, close to the restrooms which were also clean, and it was quiet throughout the campground. We had to cut our trip short but we’ll visit again in the future.

Cottonwood Springs is always excellent. Restrooms are spotless and the host is a genuinely nice and laid-back person. It's a great place even when it's (often) 100°

Very nice/quite campground. Spots were fairly level for my rv with not much adjustments. Nice playground for the children and clean bathroom onsite. Close to Hot Springs and south entrance to WindCave National Park. Really enjoyed our stay.

This campground is really not tent friendly. We reserved a spot without really knowing what it looked like. We looked at the one picture that was posted but we figured it would have a spot foe the tent and wouldn't be just the driveway. Our firepit was between our driveway and our neighbors. The site next to us had a grassy spot, large in fact and we took a corner of that. It was empty all day but then people came in after 9 pm, loud until 10 pm when they started up a generator. No one enforced the quiet hours the first night and it was a long night. Bathrooms were clean, well stocked. No dumpsters, which we found odd. Flush toilets but no where to throw your trash. Probably won't return. I think we can do better. Our free site the nights precious was way nicer and quieter.

Life Jackets Worn…Nobody Mourns, Wear your Life Jacket! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) asks you to please play it safe while on, in, or near the water. USACE public recreation fatality statistics show that 88 percent were male, 89 percent were not wearing a life jacket, and 47 percent were swimming in areas not designated as a swimming area. Most people that drown would have survived if they had worn a life jacket. Life jackets come in many styles, sizes, and colors. Choose the right one that fits you properly and make sure to wear it correctly. There is a life jacket for every kind of water activity including swimming.
