The camping spot is in a great location within the park, we had a decent distance between us and other campers. a lot of it is hilly so finding a flat spot fo the tent was a little tricky. the restrooms were older but fine.

The campground was generally good. However the toilets near the showers didn’t always flush because of low water pressure and the women’s side didn’t have soap. So I walked the extra distance to the other building.

The area of the campground is beautiful. Most of the sites are very nice however a few are too close together especially if someone is running a generator. I would give a higher rating if the bathrooms were updated. They are old, run down, and toilets/sinks don’t always seem to work as they should.

Beautiful location with camping under starry dark skies and great ranger programs on site.
We covered most of the trails near the campground with great advice from the visitor center. Drove to the north side for wildlife spotting including the fabulous burrowing owl. Amazing park, highly recommend.

The only thing I didn't like about the campground was if you're parked on the left side of the road the stairs for your camper go into the middle of the road.

Good site with plenty of room. We love the idea that there are no campfires. It is nice to smell the fresh South Dakota sage sented air. We wish more parks would embrace the concept of smoke free camping!
