Very clean site. Walking trail to Apgar Village and the NP visitor center is exceptional. Check in procedure was a strange. A white board with dry erase markers on a rainy night was not helpful. We did not see it until the next day as we were walking past the board. Oops, at least we did sign in before we left.

We love that there are smaller number of campsites keeping it quiet and less congested. Hiking trails vary giving different opportunities. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

The best thing about this campground was the accessibility to the Badlands. Not sure how anyone can rate their campsite as they are all in a parking lot situation. The way most trailers are set up the hook ups are located on the grassy knoll behind the RV, the awning side is located on the road side, so sitting outside underneath your awning your on the road as people drive by and walk by.

Great location, nice views of the Bad Lands. Clean bathroom. Great scenic drive from the campground to Wall with plenty of overlooks to stop by and admire the scenery (was great near sunset). Not the best place to bring dogs as they cannot walk on any trails.

Great campground for a new camper! Had our own space, but weren’t too far from others/didn’t feel isolated. Bathrooms were clear and it was great having a toilet nearby. The shower house has a fan that makes a very loud noise 24/7, so factor that in when deciding how close/far you want to be from the facilities.
