Nice, clean site, with ample room for our 6-person tent (with foyer). Extremely windy location since there's nothing to slow it down as it crosses the valley.
The picnic table had a built-in shade that was much needed. The only sites that had trees for shade were the ones on the south edge.
Dishwash station was great. Restrooms were clean. We did not use the shower facilities, so I have no feedback there.
Cedar Pass Cafe and the gift shop were great for meals and treats.
Ranger program at 9pm was interesting and engaging. They talked about the night sky and brought out telescopes to see the full moon.
This is a great campsite to be nearby hiking trails and other sites to explore along the Badlands loop.

This campsite was great. There was plenty of level ground for a tent. It backs up to a nice grassy area with tons of birds and a creek. I did not go down to the creek, but I could hear it. Bathrooms were close and parking was on site. There is a restaurant nearby as well.

Wonderful campground that is close to the lodge, visitor center, and trails. We enjoyed the evening ranger talks every night, which gave us perspective on the landscape and the night sky over the Badlands.

It was more of a large field than some of the less concentrated forest campgrounds.

The campground didn't have campsites per se. All that was provided was a numbered parking space along a road, with vehicles parked end to end along it. The grassy areas along the road were all roped off, so they were off limits to use.

My teenage nephews and I loved this campground so much. We had site #3 and we had only one site next to us. The views were great all around. The restrooms and showers were a bit of a walk but that wasn’t an issue for us at all. The amphitheater is in close walking distance to the campground and we were happy to attend a ranger-led program at night. Our site was large and open.

Just want to keep in mind that the campsite you pick is on the correct side of the road to match your door opening if in an RV as it’s one way. Otherwise you’ll find yourself with your door opening to the street.

Great location within Badlands National Park. Most sites are bump ins and the pads are not very big. It worked for our 22ft RV.
