Cottonwood is a nice place to enjoy a few days of R&R. The restrooms were spotless and clean. Workers in the entrance booths are really confused about how to handle reservations and accommodations. The park manager (David) is a blook. He doesn't know his head from his tail. Personally, the reservation system and website recreation.gov is a confusing mess to navigate. Many mistakes are being made when it comes to reserving a weekend or trip to any federal park. Seems the park managers boss (Gary) is as confused as his park manager. I think the website needs a good manager as well. The Omaha office for the Corps of Engineers needs better management.

We love camping at Cottonwood. There is plenty of sights to see and things to do. Including reading quietly in the shade for her and fishing for me. We are going back again in July fir a coupke of days and another week in August.

The app is awful! I am an experienced campground attendent and cannot help them. What does "unsupported browser" mean? There is limited cell phone coverage here, they cannot use their internet if its anything but a Verizon supported device. They give up and say they will go somewhere else. This happens multiple times daily. I cannot give quality customer service.

Firewood Alert: Don't Move Firewood! Due to the spread of invasive insects (such as Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)) firewood from outside the area is not permitted. Help protect your forests by purchasing near your camping destination and burning it on-site. Firewood is not available for sale on-site, however several local businesses sell firewood a short distance away, see the campground host or attendant for more information.
