This was our first time here, but we have camped and many other COE parks. The views along the river are fantastic. We were on site 27 and the shade was much appreciated since temps in the 90s. The site was nice and level. We picked up about 60 TV stations so got the major networks. Cell service was good. I love it that there was a trash can at each site.
My only complaint is that there is only a single dump at the dump station. So you can easily imagine the lineup that can form on a Sunday morning as the weekend campers leave since all sites are W/E only.

Very nice and clean. The bathrooms were clean and staff were so very nice. It was our first visit to this site and have made reservations to come back. A lovely place to camp and relax.

Site along the river was nice and quiet. Not much parking. I did have to use a hammer to pound in tent stakes. Normally I can push them in with my foot.

Getting There
From Ashland City, Tennessee, take US 12 and go eight miles west to Cheap Hill. Turn
left on Cheatham Dam Road traveling west four miles. Turn left into
the campground.
Highway access
The campground is accessible via US Highway 12, located approximately eight miles east of the campground.

General
- Please be aware that falling branches are a natural hazard at this campground
- Motorized, including electric vehicles: Golf carts, Scooters & ATV’s are permitted on roadways in Corps operated recreation areas. However, these type of vehicles shall be operated in accordance with applicable Federal, state and local laws, which shall be regulated by authorized enforcement officials. Must be 16 years or older to drive motorized vehicle. Prohibited items include: battery operated scooters/cars, hover-boards, non compliant golf carts and ATV's.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- However, if you're arrving late, we highly recommend you call the campground to notify the Park Attendant. If arrival does not occur before check-out time on the day following the arrival date, the reservation will be canceled.
- Two tents or one tent and one RV are permitted per campsite.
- Lock A campground has reservable sites only. No walk-up sites.
