What Guests Are Saying
Chilhowee Campground is praised for its beautiful natural setting, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for repeat visitors. The campground features clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and a lovely lake for swimming, along with access to hiking trails, including the popular Benton Falls. While the access road is narrow and winding, and some areas may appear dated, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful camping getaway.

Clean, tranquil camp sites, beautiful views and easy to hike trails. It was the perfect stop on my multi-state trip.

Loved this beautiful campground!! The only downfall is that the roads are narrow and curvy and a little harder for longer trailers to go up and down. The sites are great and we will be back!

The campground is very pretty. Lots of trails and the beach was wonderful for swimming. I only gave 4 stars because the bathroom in loop A was dirty. If it was clean like the ones by the beach I would have given 5 stars. We would camp there again. Kids had a great time. And so did the adults.

We were at D35. The major issue we had was there was two yellow jacket nests in our camp site. We had three people get stung multiple times. With that being said the host came over asked if we needed any benadryl and then came back at night to try and get rid of them.

Chilhowee is one of our favorites. Campground is wooded and well maintained. Swimming lake within walking distance. Lookout views are beautiful. Watched the sunset and fireworks from gazebo lookout. Kayaked at Parksville lake.

The drive up was beautiful! The lady camp host whom I interacted with was lovely.
Large spots, lots of tree cover. We stayed in The F- loop and it was much more secluded than the others which we prefer.
The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot! Awesome experience!
