What Guests Are Saying
Chilhowee Campground is praised for its beautiful natural setting, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for repeat visitors. The campground features clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and a lovely lake for swimming, along with access to hiking trails, including the popular Benton Falls. While the access road is narrow and winding, and some areas may appear dated, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful camping getaway.

this campground is close to where I live so camp there frequently + are now friends with the camp hosts there. Chilhowee has an amazing trail system--these trails I never get tired of hiking. The campground, trails, + bathroom facilities are all maintained well---keep up the good work !!

My wife and I spent & days there and it was incredible! I will admit when the website said water hookups, we were not expecting to have to fill our freshwater tank to have water! Fresh water is available but you must have a fresh water tank. The campground personnel were very friendly and made rounds several times each day. The hiking trails were great. We hiked over 28 miles in 7 days. We highly recommend Chilhowee Campground.
