What Guests Are Saying
Chilhowee Campground is praised for its beautiful natural setting, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for repeat visitors. The campground features clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and a lovely lake for swimming, along with access to hiking trails, including the popular Benton Falls. While the access road is narrow and winding, and some areas may appear dated, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful camping getaway.

The place is beautiful with stunning views on the way to the campground, and stunning views while hiking. However their shower houses leave a lot to be desired. The water was only mildly warm... And there was some sort of blue dye all over the walls, and you had to keep pushing a stupid button to every minute to get the water to come out.

This is by far one of our favorite campgrounds. It is located in a beautiful large forest and on a mountain, the views are breathtaking, the nature trails are abundant. There are beautiful waterfalls nearby, and opportunities for water activities in the warmer months. The camp sites are nicely spaced offering lots of privacy, the camp sites are spacious and a large picnic table and fire ring are provided, building a nice fire was the highlight of day. Phone service is a little sparse, but did not bother us, as we kept ourselves busy with many outdoor activities. This was our second time at this camp, and will definitely return every chance we get. Our camp host greeted us promptly, was helpful and provided just the right amount of assistance when needed.

This is a wonderful campground. The sites are fairly spread-out and roomy, The hosts were very friendly, and there are a lot of great hiking trails. We will be back many times in the future.
