About Defeated Creek Park

Defeated Creek Park Campground sits along the banks of Cordell Hull Lake on the Cumberland River System, just seven miles from Carthage, Tennessee. The lake was named after Cordell Hull, a politician that was born in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. It's a beautiful park, I've been visiting since I was a kid. You won't be disappointed. I haven't biked or hiked in a long time but the trail to the over look is great and so are the bike trails. Nice little marina too!

Beautiful stay on lot 35. The staff was friendly and helpful. Met some really nice neighbors and enjoyed long walks and fishing. The park is beautiful and lakeside is such a beautiful view. Will definitely be back.

Better WiFi coverage would be greatly appreciated. Also a bit better cell phone coverage would also help. When you’re old (89) and alone being able to make a call is most comforting.

The site was very big. There was absolutely NO internet for AT&T nor Verizon. We had to drive about 10 miles away to get any service at all.
