About Defeated Creek Park

Defeated Creek Park Campground sits along the banks of Cordell Hull Lake on the Cumberland River System, just seven miles from Carthage, Tennessee. The lake was named after Cordell Hull, a politician that was born in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. This place is manicured like a golf course! It’s absolutely beautiful. Most sites have an awesome lake view, the bathrooms are super clean and some fixtures seem to be new, some sites have full hookups and… wait for it… no noise after 9pm. We’re going back. My only complaint is the lack of a campground store and nowhere is there a Defeated Creek sticker!
