It was very nice. Although the walking path needs a little repair, it provides an enjoyable benefit to the stay. Even though the campground offers WIFI we were unable (as were others) to connect to the WIFI in the back part of the campground. With a boost for the WIFI and some slight pathway improvement on the walking path I would have given it a 5 star review. Stayed 4 nights and found it very enjoyable.

We almost always enjoy our stay at a Corps of Engineers campground and Dale Hollow Damsite was a favorite with the large, well-spaced campsites, clean facilities, and wonderful walking paths. Great campgrounds always seem to attract great campers too. Our neighbors and the camp hosts were all the best!

Take the time to drive up to the Dam overlook, I know it's not the Hoover Dam but the history behind it is amazing and the reason it was built. I am a little partial to Dale Hollow Dam since my Dad and Granddad both worked on the building of the dam along with several uncles. I'd also recommend going up to Amish Country to visit their store, I'm not sure if it's open year round or not but they have a pretty cool store with fresh vegetable's. I know there is more to do and see in the area but I'm usually there to visit family when I'm there. I do miss the old days of talking to all the old timers sitting on the court house square and talking to them while they whittle on a piece of cedar but the shop in Celina are a good way to spend an afternoon. Another recommendation would be to visit Standing Stone State Park. One last thing if you bring a boat or not go to Horse Creek or Cedar Hill Boat Dock and spend a morning fishing from the dock. even if you don't catch anything the tranquility of the lake is well worth the time.

One of our favorite parks. Camp hosts are great people and we always enjoy talking with them. The park is well kept and convenient to Dale Hollow lake. We were glad to see some updates to the middle bathroom this past year.

Arrived to park at check-in time on a Sunday. The site was disgusting with last occupants trash remaining in the fire pit...woman's sanitary unmentionables in firepit as well as behind a tree. There were sticky marshmallows all over campsite that we stepped on. No one was at the gate when we arrived. Never saw anyone the entire time. After we cleaned up site, we had a wonderful time with friends, and explored the beautiful area with our dog. It was a very quiet and peaceful campground. Just wish we had a better greeting!
