This is a lovely campground and is really ideal for tent campers. We were camping in a class B RV. We couldn't get level using every block we had. That did not matter too much because we ended up having to cut our trip short due to the special campers which the camp rules and common courtesies did not apply to. Quiet time starts at 10, but 10:30 this loud group of 20+ campers wouldn't even consider turning down the volume. I guess they thought it was strictly their campground, not everyone else's. Shame. So we ended up packing up our stuff and heading to a parking lot for the night. The next morning, we came back and checked out early. I want to try this site again, but not until staffing is increased and the park campgrounds can be patrolled more frequently. It only takes one bad camping group to ruin if for a whole loop.

Just one night tent camping. Beautiful place. Sites are pretty close together but our site was pretty private with good tree cover. Bathrooms seemed reasonably well kept

We loved this campground! It’s off the beaten paths of Great Smoky Mountains NP so it was quiet and not crowded. It was about an hour & a half drive to any sights in the park, but well worth it for the serenity. The Cosby Nature Trail is short but beautiful. Got to see mama bear and her 2 cubs crossing the creek on a log. Tons of fireflies at night. Overall a wonderful campground! The hosts were kind & informative as well.

This campground was great! There were awesome hiking trails right from the campground and the sites were spaced out perfectly. The bathrooms were clean the entire time we were there and there were many, which allowed for easy access from any campsite. Each site had a picnic table and fire fit, which was helpful for meals. We liked that this campground wasn't overly crowded!

Cosby is a very nice campground in a lesser used corner of the the National Park. The sites are spacious and well shaded. Vegetation between sites affords nice privacy. None of the bathhouses have showers, but they were clean and have an outdoor sink for doing dishes. In early June insects were not a problem at all - we were able to sit outside for hours with no bug spray.
Good access to hiking trails from the campground- the 6 mile climb to the lookout building at the top of Mount Camerer is a challenging, but beautiful hike (out and back took us about 6 hours).
