Cosby Campground is praised for its beautiful natural surroundings, clean facilities, and helpful staff, making it a favorite for many campers. The campground offers well-marked trails and peaceful camping experiences, although some visitors noted the lack of phone signal and absence of showers. Great site! I found the campground to be a little out of the way in my opinion and would probably stay in Elkmont next trip.

I always enjoy camping at Cosby. It is really the "quite" side of the Smokies. This campground is mostly geared to tent campers, very few sites for RVs.
One thing that was a bit frustrating; if you need water for your RV tanks there is not an easy way to do it. I use a large Jerry can to fill mine, but there are no water sources in the campground with enough clearance to use it. There is a potable water source at the dump station that I was able to use, but it did not have a diverter on it to switch the water to the output with the threads to connect a hose if you wanted to do that.
Section B was not open, and the people I talked to didn't hold our much hope that it would open this year.
New hosts came in from Florida the same day we arrived, very nice folks. Hope they have a great time there. I look forward to getting back again.

Friendly staff, clean restrooms, nice tent pads, excellent variety of hiking trails. The synchronous fireflies were amazing.

I primarily went to just relax and unwind... it was a great stress release because I do enjoy the mountains and the green earth. The camp host and rangers and staff were all very helpful with any questions I had and information and regulations for the park.
There plenty of trails and beautiful streams and bridges plus a small water fall just a couple miles from the campgrounds.
I've been an annual visitor for many years and have never been disappointed.

Good camping spot with trails around. The toilet is very clean and well maintained. The space between campsites is decent but not huge. Sound of water from a nearby creek is soothing to the ears. There was no visible water body from our campsites though. We camped in A13 and A14.

Thouroughly enjoyed our time at Cosby. Nice quiet campground. Hosts were helpful and friendly. RV sites were small, but adequate and restrooms were clean. We’ll be back.

Cosby is a great campground. Clean ablutions, well maintained sites and right in the middle of the amazing Smoky’s. All sites are fairly private and well spaced.
All of the walks and trails were good but the walk to the falls was spectacular.
There are no shower facilities and that is the only thing I would change.

The upper loops were closed, but the lower were also nice. Numerous trails in the area for hiking and we hit the timing just right (Memorial Day weekend) to see the beauty of the fireflies.

Cosby is the most beatiful campground in the smokies. Some upgrades would be appreciated. Hand dryers in the bathrooms and better water fill stations for water cans. Why do they not sell firewood and ice at the campground?
