The campground is my favorite in the entire gsmnp except for the road going to it is a nightmare and needs to be fixed asap

What are the best spots in the Smokies. One has to make sure that if they want a nine or anywhere on the Creekside to get way ahead of the curve and make reservations a couple months to a few months out. Otherwise strongly suggest bringing a hammock in addition to a tent!

Very nice location, riverside is best but all campsites are great. Quiet, small campground kind of remote which I like but with just enough signal to text family that you made it. I will stay here again when I return to the Smoky Mountains.

When we got there, someone was parked in our drive and the folks didn’t appear until about 5:30. According to our next-door neighbors they got there at about 2 PM. They did not have a parking pass and we’re not very apologetic when we said something to them but other than that, we loved the campsite.

Site was occupied and large party next door. Too many cars.Facilities Manager refused refund. Need to review your facilities manager. Drove 3 hrs to camp and had to return home.

It is a beautiful site, though the approach road is badly potholesd, and the bathrooms were only cleaned once in the 4 days we were there. We never saw a ranger, though another camper said one came through while we were out hiking.

There is no street address for this campground North: From I-40 take US-129/Alcoa Highway through Maryville, TN. Continue South on US-129 until mile marker 14.3 (Foothills Parkway exit). Proceed .5 mi beyond Foothills Parkway turning left onto Happy Valley Road. Turn Right onto Abram's Creek Road passing the Abram's Creek Ranger Station. The campground is approximately .5 mi beyond the ranger station. South: Continue North on US-129 where US-19/74/129 split, heading towards Robbinsville, NC. Near mile marker 14 in Tennessee turn Right onto Happy Valley Road (about 5 mi before the Foothills Parkway). Turn Right onto Abram's Creek Road passing the Abram's Creek Ranger Station. The campground is approximately .5 mi beyond the ranger station.
