What Guests Are Saying
Look Rock Campground offers a peaceful and clean camping experience with well-maintained facilities and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the availability of electric and water hookups at select sites, as well as the quiet atmosphere and opportunities for wildlife sightings, including bears. However, some amenities, like showers and reliable cell service, are lacking, and noise from nearby traffic can be a concern for some campers. Overall, it is a lovely spot for those seeking a tranquil getaway in nature.

Very noisy from the road above, racing bikes and cars through the night. No showers.

Look Rock is a great place to hang out and chill. We had not camped there previously, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a National Park with water and electricity available at our campsite, and a dump station on the grounds. There are about ten sites with utilities, so not all sites have that. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

This was a nice and quiet campground. Our site was well maintained and the bathrooms were nice and clean. In the evening, we had turkeys and a black bear walk by our site.

Campground was lovely. Power pedestal at my site didn’t work. Luckily we had extra cord and the neighbor wasn’t using his 50A circuit. Some guys came to look at the power but we never did find out if they fixed it. Would have been pretty bad to not have power after planning around it with my wife, 7 year old daughter, and 2 dogs when we drove from 10 hours away to be there. All’s well that ends well but hopefully the next people don’t get stuck with no power when they expect and plan around it. Other than that, the campground itself was great. Quiet. Tidy. Latrines clean and functional. Glad we went, overall.

Good overall experience. Had a truck bed tendt. Parking space was sloped, so made it difficult. Needed levelers for sure. Rained most days and super buggy. But out of 60 plus campsites, I was one of about 6 people over 6 day period, so that is a bonus. Hard to get clean. Needed a shower when I sweat through my clothes because it was so humid. Had to utilize air in truck from time to time to cool off and stop sweating. Planet fitness about 20minutes away though, started going there after day 3 for shower. Made it part of daily routine.

We loved how secluded it was and the site was very nice. We had trouble understanding how to get the water to connect to our trailer w pressure normalized, but it worked once we figured it out. I would love to see sewer added or showers, but we knew going in that was not part of the rental. Very nice camp host!

A quiet campground nestled along side the Foothills Parkway with easy access too both highways 321 and 129. The roads and pads were freshly paved and level. There were 10 sites with electric and water hookup. This is a great base camp for exploring the Smoky Mountains.
