This park is beautiful. Most of the sites are long and offer a nice area for enjoying the outdoors. The staff has been fabulous everytime we have been there. The beach and playground area is well-maintained.
Bathrooms need fans, especially in the heat and humidity. There was no toilet paper in the restrooms our first day there. There is poison ivy everywhere. This could be better controlled.
Try to get a campsite along the lake. Please avoid site 55. The site is very narrow, getting out of the truck was difficult because the paving was so narrow. We could not put our awning out because the site was so narrow. Other sites have better paving and living areas.

We had booked a pavilion for a staff party and scheduled the party from 4p-7p. Our reservation on recreation.gov was until 7p. Promptly at 6p, someone was aggressively telling our guests we had to pack up and leave by 6:30. I was the person who had made the reservation and would have preferred this information be directly communicated to me rather than our guests. At 6:15p I found the park person to ask about the time and he said "If you're not out by 6:30 sharp, I'm locking you in here and you can take it up with the courts. Recreation.gov won't do anything about it and it doesn't matter, I told you to leave." Also the bathrooms were locked on us around 6p and we were unable to use the facilities before leaving. I was just kindly asking about the time because of what my reservation booking said. It was a very abrupt ending to what would have been a fun day. I hope recreation.gov and the army corp can figure this out and train your folks to be more understanding and hospitable.

Hosts are great, as usual. Clean, neat campground. I can say, it would be wonderful if some vents were installed in the bathhouse. It is deadly hot and humid in there. Just stifling, actually. Otherwise, a great stay.

Every single site is fantastic and at most a short walk to the lake. Sites are flat and very clean. This is the nicest COE we've stayed at.

Great campground even for those of us without a watercraft or fishing pole. Quiet, lots of families, lightening bugs!
