We typically love Poole Knobs!! Close to home and so beautiful! We’ve camped her many times before and never had a single issue or problem. Until the day before we were to pull up camp. The host came to skidding stop at our campsite, #66. He was very rude and full of attitude as he told us we needed to do something about our dog. Said he (it’s a girl) did nothing but bark all night long, like she was doing right then. I said dogs bark. They bark at birds, animals and when they here cars or people go by. He said it didn’t matter and we needed to get control of her or they’d have to ask us to leave.
The more we thought about it the more it didn’t make sense. The night, and day, before it stormed. We were at work and she was in her kennel. No doubt she barked, dogs do that and she is no exception. I question the “whole night”. I got back about 9:30-9:45pm and it was quiet. Even while I got out of the car, she was quiet. Didn’t even bark when I opened the tent. Nothing. So, no, she did not bark the whole night. How was he to have heard her? His RV is at the main entrance, a good 500ft from our campsite. When he returned to inform us that he cancelled that nights stay (at my husband’s request) he had the same attitude, rudeness and hostility informing us that we would not get a refund. Also, it occurred to us, we’ve been there 12 days and there had not been any complaints. Not a single complaint from anyone. Why now? Why so hostile? His attitude was completely unnecessary and unjustified.
Definitely taking this campsite of our list. It’s unfortunate because it is, was, one of our favorites.

Great view, easy to get into site with 32' 5th wheel. Cell coverage T mobile and ATT were both 4 bars. Site is slightly off level so bring blocks.

Drove 5 hours to stay at this campground just to be locked out with no refund. Don't waste your time or money with this place!!!!

Majority of the sites overlook the lake. Water (90psi) and power (50amp). Every day we were treated to a chorus of songbirds, just marvelous! We never used the facilities. We have been to Nashville numerous times so we didn't go. This location would be good for that, just be ready for the traffic. We definitely would stay here again!
