As always our stay at Obey River was excellent. Our host Jeff and Lisa work very hard to keep this a family friendly camp ground.

This is a great campground, very well taken care of. We had a wonderful time. The church service that is offered is a plus. We will be back for sure. The lake is beautiful, lots of places on lake to eat, or short drive into Byrdstown or on the way to eat.

So the campground here is super nice and Jeff the attendant is awesome but site 10 is not the best. They squeezed a few new camp sites into the campground a few years back and this is one of them and it really isn't what I would consider a site but more of a place to park your trailer for the night(s). No room to spread out, no trees for comfort from the summer sun and really do real view of the lake if other trailers are on sites 11 and 12 and 13. It is better than nothing but not what you would expect if you see most of the other sites.

So we have been staying at Obey River Park for a week at least once a year for 26 years. We truly love the campground and the lake. Having said that the campground has gone thru some changes over the years and one of those that hasn't been for the best is that they squeezed a few more sites in and those tend to be really close to one another. Site 12 is one of those and if someone is on site 13 with even a medium size trailer you will not have a lake view. The site is nice but the view is not so good so keep that in mind while looking at this site.

This was our first year of camping. We had nothing but exceptional experiences. We had five different camping weeks all in different areas of the campground. The campsites are very clean and maintained. The grounds were always mowed and litter free. I can’t say enough about how hard the maintenance team works to keep a beautiful campground. The campground hosts Jeff and Lisa are great. They are very respectful and pleasant. They take pride in the area they serve and always has a friendly smile. We can’t wait to start booking for next year!!
