I was pleased with the campground itself and enjoyed exploring the nearby towns. I love that there is a grocery store to the north only about seven minutes and a couple of good restaurants, but I think it should have been disclosed that the lake is receded 100 feet or more from the campsites. The picture of the campsite online showed the water being closer to the site. When I arrived, I was a bit shocked to see that it looks like a tsunami had come through and deposited full-size trees and debris all along the beach (107). The sites further to the east didn’t have the debris, but still have the receded Shoreline. They also need a trashcan near the boat launch, people just left their trash on the ground or threw it in the water, sardine cans etc.

We had a Great Lake view at our spot. But most spots have a view of the lake. Att and T-Mobile cell service was good! Lots of hills for a good walk and the lake was absolutely beautiful!! We will definitely go back. Someone had a barking dog with them disrupting peace and the rangers made them keep their dog quiet so that was nice we didn’t have to live with that for long. Very nice place!!

The tent/sitting are needs to be leveled and the water from the rain needs to be directed away from the camping area. I alive Obey River Campground and I will come back again and again. Hope y’all will take care of this minor issue. Thanks

The first night we had site 117; which had a great view of the lake but was muddy and not the best setup for our dog. We talked to the volunteers on duty and they were very helpful. They switched us to site 3 which was a beautiful site right on the lake. This is a very clean park; nice restrooms and free washer and dryers throughout the park. We were within walking distance of the marina which had boat rentals, a store, and a restaurant. We definitely plan to return to this campground.

Beautiful park…very clean and manicured grounds. Although it rained the entire stay, it was a great place to relax and unwind.
