What Guests Are Saying
Anderson Road Campground offers spacious and private sites with beautiful waterfront access, making it a great spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The manager, Ash, is noted for his friendly and caring demeanor, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While the restrooms are older and could use some updates, they are kept clean, and the campground is well-maintained overall, providing a pleasant camping experience.

This was a fantastic campground. Army corps did a beautiful job on this one. We had a huge waterfront site and we floated on tubes right from our site #7. Would stay again.

Amazing set up. Very private and peaceful. Lake was beautiful with waves and the accessible to everyone. I would say, restrooms could be more nicer cleaner. Would pay extra $$ if they got to awesome.
But overall, I would visit again.

We *LOVE* Anderson Road and come every year at the end of the school year. This year there were some things that made our stay (3 nights, 2 campsites - sites 11 and 12) less awesome than usual.
1. When we got to site 11, I noticed that the grill over the fire pit had been moved from the fire pit up by the driveway and beside the picnic table, all the way down to the little makeshift fire pit down by the lake. It's attached to an extremely heavy piece of concrete, so I couldn't move it back up. The onsite camp overseer had no explanation of how that could've happened. It meant that we couldn't cook at all on site 11. Thankfully the fire pit grill was where it needed to be on site 12, so we just used that one. By the end of our stay, the maintenance guys had installed a new grill in site 11, so it's usable now. But that definitely threw a wrench into our plans.
2. We got heavy rain, and a lot of our stuff got wet. I tried to use the dyer at the main bathrooms, but it ate all my quarters and never turned on. The camp oversee was sympathetic and attempted to return my quarters, but by the time he figured out what was wrong with the dryer (apparently a simple fix), it was too late for us. We had to go back home to sleep that night because our sleeping bags were wet.
3. Now that the washing machine is at the main bathrooms, there is no easy water access anymore. The only available spigot is on the back side of the bathrooms, and there's a pipe half covering it. Filling up water bottles and our gallon jug is tricky.
4. The trash factor continues to be bad. We have to clean up a lot when we get there. It can get gross.
Besides those things, we still had a great time and will definitely come back again next year! We love walking the lake edge from rock to rock; skipping rocks; playing four-square at the asphalt section of the boat ramp area; going to the swimming beach during the day; and all the wonderful things that go along with camping.
