My husband and I were on an extensive camping road trip and needed a place to camp for just one night while still close to Nashville. This was just right. It was close enough to the city and yet still felt quite a lot like you were in the country. We chose a site on the inner part of the loop and it was nice. Private with a nice picnic table, grill and other table to set things close to the grill. In hindsight, we wish we would have chosen one of the campsites overlooking the lake as it was quite beautiful in the evening as the sun set and also because we have solar panels that would have benefitted from the openness. I particularly appreciated that the shower had hooks and a little bench to set your things inside the door with a latch. The man and his dog at the gate were quite welcoming and personable. We would recommend this place!

Campground is well maintained and staff are very friendly. Didn't make it to downtown Nashville but we did take time out for hit a Whiskey Trail site and grab lunch at an Irish pub with a friend in Franklin, TN. The only downside was really loud "music" with a heavy beat being played on the other side of the lake from the campground late into the evening on Sunday and Monday nights. Nothing the staff could do but they did try. Overall we had a good trip and highly recommend.

Turn left on Smith Springs Road, then left on Anderson Road. The campground is ahead about 1 mi on the left or continue straight on Anderson Road to access the day use area and shelter.
Highway access
Anderson Road Campground is accessible via I-40, approximately 5 miles from downtown Nashville.
Policies & Rules
General
- No off-road vehicles permitted.
- Two tents or one tent and one RV are permitted per campsite.
- Two vehicles allowed per site.
- $5 fee per vehicle for guests of campers.
- Firewood quarantines are in effect. Firewood from outside the area is not permitted. Help protect our forests by purchasing or collecting firewood at or near your camping destination and burning it on-site. Click Here for more information.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Camping limit is 14 days in any 30-consecutive-day period on J. Percy Priest Lake. This rule applies to all campgrounds combined.
- No drive-thrus on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
- Wifi is NOT provided at this campground.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
