We stayed overnight. Convenient to I40. We would definitely stay again. The gate attendant volunteer was very friendly!

Good option for overnight stay on 2 day travel. Signage from Highway to campground a little lacking. A couple of tight spots on the way but passable.

We were there during the flood and tornado warning a couple weeks ago. We were evacuated. I know this was not the parks fault. Had a good time otherwise.

If you are a fisherman and want access to the lake, this is a great spot. It is well taken care of and clean. However, the sites are stacked on on top of another and extremely tight. We have a 25 ft trailer and it was difficult to maneuver. A motorhome would be fine. It was OK for a one night stop over and it was half empty. When every site is full it would be elbow to elbow. Check the photos carefully before you book.

The campground is very nice, but it’s built into a terraced hillside. Many of the sites require carrying your gear up or down stairs to get from the parking to the tent pad and picnic table. We were in site 35, which worked OK for us with our 20' camper van, but there was no buffer between our site and #34. Fortunately, we had good neighbors. The CG is clean and well maintained, and the hosts were excellent.

My family and I have been going to Floating Mill since 1995. We’ve always loved going here but I must say the grass is always too high. I was told they mow every 2 weeks which is ridiculous! I have seen them mowing once maybe twice in all those years. PLEASE MOW MORE OFTEN. Other COE campgrounds are not like this. The host this year was absolutely the nicest of all!
