What Guests Are Saying
Ragland Bottom is highly praised for its friendly and helpful camp hosts, clean restrooms, and well-maintained facilities, making it a favorite camping destination. Visitors enjoy beautiful views of Center Hill Lake and appreciate the spacious, level sites available. While some noted issues like steep walk-in site access and occasional disturbances from other campers, the overall experience remains positive and many express a desire to return.

Volunteer host was really nice. The official hosts were much less friendly and apparently overrode the refund I was supposed to receive for an inaccessible spot that I had reserved. Facilities are nice but all tent spots have pretty intense hills to contend with. Be aware of that if you have any older folks in your group.

Promised me a refund when I spoke to them in person (I was unable to access my campsite on arrival and the app wouldn’t just let me swap sites so I purchased a second one with the understanding I would receive a refund for the unused site) and then they rejected my requests for a refund online.

We stayed on campsite #4 right on the water. So relaxing with a fantastic view of the lake.

Ragland Bottom Campground is beautiful in any season, but Spring is the most beautiful. Tall trees, lush grass, wild flowers and blooming dogwoods against a deep clear lake setting make this one of the most peaceful, inviting places to be. The only perceptible sounds are those of song birds and the occasional speeding boat. The roads are all paved and in good condition. The campsites are well spaced, well designed and level. We did not use the bath houses but from previous visits, one is old and needs updating but very functional and clean. The other is modern and well equipped as well as clean. Camp hosts are accommodating and helpful.

Nice Campground. Little tight for some large class A's. The views were great. Bathhouse and showers were just ok. Showers were on a quick timer.

Awesome camp host, Jerry, genuinely wants folks to enjoy their stay. Bath houses were very clean, nicer than the usual COE facility. Sites are spacious and well-maintained. Only one drawback: it is very, very difficult to get a 40’ Class A level almost anywhere in the park. Bring boards, especially if you are in D loop. We parked at the extreme front of the pad and used three boards under each rear wheel (total 12 boards!) on site A-19 and were still a bit off-level. The couple we were traveling with couldn’t get level on A-21, but Jerry found them a spot that worked: A-6. That and A-4 are probably your best bets if you don’t want to use boards.
