We had a lovely time at Indian Boundary. Site 17 was nice. However, we made the mistake of not completely reading all the information about this campground. While there was an electric hookup, there was not a water hookup at the site. Fill your tank first! The site had easy, close access to the lake which was perfect for launching our paddle boards. There is a hiking/biking trail that loops the entire lake which was amazing! The sites were large, but there is a main trail entrance next to site 17. We weren't bothered by that, but if your wanting more privacy look at other sites. The driveway has a turn in it, so backing the camper in was a little different, but I had no issues. It was fairly level as well. The campground is beautiful! The lake was calm and peaceful making it perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking. The beach and recreation area is well maintained. The camp store was stocked nicely, and a blessing to have when we ran out of toilet paper. The shower houses could use some updating, but were clean. There is no cell service. We did hookup our Starlink for emergency calls which worked most of the time. During our stay there were a lot of biting flies which made it a little less enjoyable, but overall it was a good experience. I'm planning on returning next year.

We really enjoyed our time here, taking advantage of kayaking on the lake, floating at the beach, riding the trails and visiting the waterfalls nearby. We will definitely be back!

What a gem of a campground! We enjoyed the beautiful lake with rented kayaks from the on-site general store, sat on the huge sandy beach, and visited bald falls. Tellico Plains is a cute little town and the visitor center is really nice. Our only regret is not driving the entire length of the Cherohala Skyway or hiking around the lake.

I love Indian Boundary Campground. Large campsites, campstore with friendly workers, kids can ride bicycles, and a great lake for swimming or fishing.

Very nice campground. Camp store was a big plus. Well stocked and nice employees. Hiking trail around lake is nice and well maintained. No sewer or water connections at sites but that’s well advertised. Also no cell service.

We have been going to Indian Boundary for over 20 years we absolutely love it! The little general store, the beach, all the kids ride their bikes around you feel safe. It has a 3 mile walking/ bike trail around the whole lake. It’s just been here. The only side note and sorta disappoint is no cell service. It can be good or bad. We don’t mind it! If you have an email or need to call home you can use the stores phone or drive up the mountain a short ways for services. We never want to leave!

I was disappointed site number three, there is not much rocks and when it rains, it’s pretty muddy and when you have two little white dogs and kids, it’s a mess the retaining wall needs to be a little higher and more rocks put in and also the number of young children on electric scooters. They about run over you. I think they need to be at an age limit for anyone that rides anything with a motor we almost crashed head on, as we are walking the trails around the lake and a little boy, and a little girl was on electric motorcycle and my husband told them he didn’t think they were supposed to be riding that along the lake and he said he does it all the time I have a E bought myself and these younger kids go faster than I do and and they don’t pay attention so I really do think they need to be an age limit. and also, I noticed a lot of cars parked on the polo at the store and some park actually illegal on the side of the road I thought maybe it was just a lot of people visiting people, but when thunderstruck they all left from the beach and got in those cars so I think they’re doing that so they don’t have to pay at the beach to park. Other than that. I love Indian Boundary we’ve been coming over therefor over 35 years.

All the years we have been going to Indian Boundary, we had never seen a bear, until this year. Only for a couple of seconds but we still saw it!
Love Indian Boundary, but we would like to be able to hang hammocks back in the trees again.

Lots of space between sites. Had a very enjoyable stay. Plenty to do in the area if you like to take day trips.
