What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful retreat with well-spaced sites, particularly along the creek, providing a serene atmosphere and excellent access to hiking trails and the river. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the secluded feel, with zero light pollution enhancing the outdoor experience. However, some noted a lack of onsite staff and occasional noise from ATV activity, and it's important to plan ahead for reservations due to ambiguous campsite maps and no cell service.

A decent campground close to the river and accessible to lots of what the Obed offers. It can feel crowded as the sites are pretty close together. Each site has a fire ring, bear box, and picnic table. A good launching-point campsite if you plan to take advantage of other Obed activities (climbing, rafting, hiking, etc)

I stayed here for one night and used the campsite as a base camp for a day of gravel biking through Catoosa WMA. The campsites are close together and there is very little privacy, with some sites having more space than others. This isn't the place to unwind in the woods, but is a great place to camp if you're looking to hike/fish/bike the area. Note, reservations must be made online ahead of time, but sites are first come first serve.

This little campsite is beautiful and relaxing. Right next to the river, and with generous spacing between sites, this is our new favorite place to car camp near Knoxville.
